•-Business is at boom in Dimapur, which is the commercial hub of Nagaland, and also one of the important trading centres in the entire northeast India. However, the town has either legal and illegal goods, or illicit goods, especially the shops around Hazi Park Market or the so-called “HongKong market” of Dimapur.
When you go around this market, you came across many duplicate items like Nike, Converse, Adidas, Rebook, Puma and many more “duplicate branded” goods. This harsh reality of duplicate goods was exposed yesterday by one DMC advisor, Tokheli Kikon along with some lawyers of the companies. I congratulate Kikon for the courage she showed in exposing such anti-social or illicit business under the very nose of Local goons by non-locals.
As a lady and as a student, I was shocked to see the duplicate cosmetics like L’Oreal, Garnier and there may be more such duplicate products in those markets. Such non-local businessmen along with their Local goons should be arrested immediately.
Moreover, such surprise raids or checking should be conducted in regular intervals. Further, I would to thank Kikon and those lawyers from the companies, for saving the consumers from using such duplicate products and goods.
