COVID-19: Nagaland logs 22 new cases; 41 recoveries

Kohima, February 17 (MExN): Nagaland on February 17 reported 22 new COVID-19 cases while 41 recovered from the infection. There was no fatality on Thursday. 

Of the 44 fresh positive cases, there were 9 in Dimapur, 4 each in Phek and Kohima, 2 each in Mokokchung and Tuensang and 1 in Wokha, informed update from State health department.  Out 641 samples tested on February 17, there were 22 positive cases, showing a sample positivity rate of 3.42%. 

Meanwhile, the State also recorded 41 recoveries on Thursday, with Dimapur leading the tally at 28, followed by 10 in Kohima, 2 in Wokha and 1 in Tuensang. With this, Nagaland’s cumulative COVID-19 cases reached 35328, out of which 347 were active. So far a total of 32752 patients have recovered from the infection, while there were 749 COVID-19 deaths in the State as on 6PM on February 17.
