Inaugural of the three day general convention of Council of Rengma Baptist Churches 2019 hosted by Tesophenyu Lorinyu Baptist Church at Tesophenyu Village on December 20.
Kohima, December 20 (MExN): The general convention of Council of Rengma Baptist Churches (CRBC) 2019 hosted by Tesophenyu Lorinyu Baptist Church at Tesophenyu Village commenced on December 20 under the theme “Let us Rebuild, Word and Prayer” (Nehemiah 2:17-18).
The general convention began after a solemn inaugural ceremony dedicated by Rev Wachulo Jemu and flag hoisting by Dr PS Lorin, President, CRBC.
More than 2000 members comprising of registered delegates from all the churches under CRBC, invitees and local members attended the inaugural service.
Dr Gwathonlo Tsela, Convenor, Media and Publicity, CRBC in a press release stated that the number of attendees is expected to increase in the next two days.
Haiwalo Apon, Executive Secretary, CRBC, as the main speaker of the inaugural programme spoke on the topic, “Let us rebuild, a corporate response”. The main speakers for the three day programme are Rev Dr Zelhou Keyho, General Secretary, NBCC, Dr. Kethoser Aniu Kevichusa, Ministry Associate, RZIM, Dr Joshua Lorin, Principal OTS and Haiwalo Apon, Executive Secretary CRBC.
The general convention will conclude on December 22 and the activities for the event include Bible Study, Bible Quiz, Bible Recitation, Hymnal Competition Workshop, etc.
