Kohima, March 19 (MExN): The Chakhesang Students' Union (CSU) expressed shock and dismay upon one of its member Vibi Mero of Pfutseromi village for assaulting a designated officer on duty Abeinuo Jasmine, EAC Sakraba, in Pfutsero sub-division on the March 12.
A condemnation note on Thursday issued by CSU president, Vetho Vadeo and general secretary Avezo Kevin Kapu vehemently condemned Mero for assaulting a sincere and dedicated officer. It appealed to the authority concern to deliver justice to the officer so that no such incident is repeated in the near future. The Union also appealed and requested the general public to be vigilant and have a common concern in reporting such untoward situations to the concerned authority for smooth administration within its jurisdiction.
The CSU also extended its full support and cooperation to the administrators in the functioning of the office for the welfare of the community in particular and the general public.
Meanwhile, in a separate statement ,the Kohima Village Youth Organization (KVYO) condemned the March 12 incident where its member Abeinuo Jasmine Belho, EAC Sakraba was aaasulted by one Vibi Mero of Pfütseromi village.
The Organisation warned that should any untoward incident happen to Abeinuo, Vibi Mero would be held responsible. It also urged the authority to revoke the bail granted to Vibi Mero and take stringent action against the criminal.
