Mokokchung, November 10 (MExN): The Clark Theological College (CTC) hosted the inauguration programme for Doctorate of Theology (DTh) Programme on November 10 at its Campus Multipurpose Hall.
The day also coincided with the 49th Thanksgiving Day of the CTC.
Inaugurating the ceremony, CTC Principal Dr A Temjen Jamir said that “Research is the base of any higher education” and noted that the introduction of doctoral research programme would certainly add more value, meaning and scholarship to theological education as well as to academic community.
At the event, Retired Faculty and Staff members of CTC were also acknowledged with gifts sponsored by Sharingain Longkumer, Speaker, Nagaland Legislative Assembly, a CTC release said.
Giving away the gifts, Dean of Doctoral Studies, Prof Imsutoshi Jamir expressed gratitude to Longkumer on behalf of the CTC community and all the recipients.
Delivering the word of God, Chaplain of the College Dr Nungshi Tzüdir said that as the CTC prepares and look forward to its 50th Anniversary next year, he challenged the community not to take the Jubilee as “going down memory lane and looking back at what we have done or happened in the past but it is about going forward into the future with refocusing and revisioning.” Anchored on Leviticus 25: 8-12, he noted that Jubilee is a time of Liberation, Reversion and Renewal.
