Phek, December 28 (MExN): The 30th general session of the Chetheba Town Students' Union (CTSU) under the theme ‘modern approaches and challenges’ was held at the Town hall, Chetheba under Phek district on December 28.
A press release from the CTSU stated that Government Higher Secondary School, Jotsoma principal Azinu Swüro graced the occasion as the guest speaker.
Speaking on the occasion, she urged the students to have an aim in life stating that once you have an aim in life, they can start building their own career but also added that without aim in life, it will lead them nowhere.
The guest speaker also spoke of the importance of life skills for a student’s life inorder to adjust and cope with fast changing world. She also asked the students to make a point to make daily routine study. Reminding the students not to study only for exams, but also to gain knowledge, she said studying and understanding the content was necessary to gain knowledge for their future.
While highlighted on the importance of making budgeting for the students which may help them in the long term. It is not how much money you have but to know how to make the best use of it, she said. She also laid stress on communication and listening skills in the role of students to excel in their career.
Presidential address delivered by Züvekhoyi Phesao, Mahi Swuro gave a brief history about Chetheba Town, invocation by CCCRC Mission Centre Chetheba pastor Pfolo Koza, the meritorious awards were also given to the students.
The new team was also elected for the tenure 2020 with Er Senetsolu Nyekha as the new president and Zavekho Resü as general secretary.
