Participants of the freshers’ meet cum interdisciplinary talk conducted by the Chakhesang Union Bangalore.
Dimapur, August 21 (MExN): The Chakhesang Union Bangalore celebrated its 18th Freshers’ meet cum interdisciplinary talk 2022 on August 20 under the theme ‘Pursuing Excellence in a World of Numbers’ at Eljireh House, Bangalore.
Veyozo D Vadeo, MBA, IIM Udaipur, Co-Founder of Orange Shark, graced the programme as the guest of honor. He shared his entrepreneurship journey and encouraged the community members to start “today” if they are to become an entrepreneur. He also shared the importance of connection, community, and people in the life of an entrepreneur.
Kuzote Lohe, President of CUB, delivered his presidential speech and stressed on the importance of pursuing excellence in any field. “We are a community with culture as our identity; our paddy fields and hills back home tell stories of hard work; today, let us continue writing this story with openness, creativity, and excellence. Before, it was the culture that was our identity, but today, openness and creativity define us, with our culture being the main root of all that we are today,” said Kuzote Lohe in his presidential speech.
The programme saw the first interdisciplinary talk conducted by the union. The panelists were Yuikan Shirik, Founder of Brand Neuron and Chairman of Tangkhul Naga Welfare Society Bangalore, who spoke on motivation; Veyozo D Vadeo, MBA IIM- Udaipur, Co-Founder Orange Shark, who spoke on entrepreneurship; Neite Kapfo, Advisor CUB, Sr. Manager HR Operation HCL Technologies, who spoke on the job market and opportunities; and Ps. Vezokho Resu, Pastor of Living Faith Church Bangalore and Lecturer at Calvin Theological College & Seminary, Bangalore, who spoke on community and social service. The panel discussion was moderated by Mr. Nuthipru Nienu, MBA, CSM-Indeed, CMO- Sukrunuzu FPO.
The program also saw 15 new freshers to the city and a turn up of more than 80 participants, including representatives of Naga Students Union Bangalore, tribal sub-unit leaders and representatives, representatives of Eastern Naga Students Union Bangalore, as well as other guests and well-wishers from other communities.
The Chakhesang Union Bangalore also acknowledged three of its members for their achievements in work and contribution to the welfare of the community in Bangalore. Dr. Yobilu Lohe, Clinical Researcher, IQVIA, for being awarded Bronze for IQVIA impact program; Rokongulu Lea, Interior Designer, Livespace, for being awarded as employee of the month; and Nuthipru Nienu, Former President NSUB, for his contributions towards the Naga community in Bangalore during the lockdown period of covid19 pandemic.
