The curtain came down on the two-day ‘December Fest’ on December 17 evening at DDSC Stadium. The highlight of the evening was declaration of results of various competitions including ‘Cleanest Colony’ awards and other games held during the two-day festival.
Kevijau Colony and Hillview Colony bagged first positions in the ‘Big colony’ and ‘Small Colony’ categories respectively.
Notun Bosti and Imkonglenden colony emerged second and third respectively in the big colony category while Lakeview and Middle Point were placed first and second runner-ups in the small colony category.
In Art competition, the first five winners were Imkong Imchen, Christopher Alloysius, Tunavi Achumi, Imnamongla and Joseph Vero. In the Penalty Shootout (Women), Forest Colony emerged champion followed by Lakeview Colony and Atula of Forest Colony was adjudged best goalkeeper. In the Penalty Shootout (men category), Rubo A bagged first position and Juvenile Social Club was placed second. Kevin Jamir of Juvenile Club was adjudged best goalkeeper.
In Arm wrestling, Akash Das and Abeto were bagged first and second position respectively.
In photography competition, the first two winners were Benjongsangba and Yanger Imchen.
In tug of war (Mens’ category), Zeliangrong Colony emerged champion followed by Lengrijan and NST Colony while in women’s’ category, Kyong Colony bagged first place followed by Imkonglenden and Ura Villa.
P Konyak bagged first position in Bamboo stilt race while Kikaito and Chuba Wangnao were placed second and third respectively.
In Santa Claus contest, Pur of Imkonglenden Colony won the first position.
Earlier, associate pastor, DABA, Imna Toshi, delivered the Christmas Message. Other highlights of the closing ceremony included musical presentations by Abdon Mech, Meribeni Patton and Bovito Swu and Symphonic Peers and, dance presentation by Trionix Dance Studio.
