DBSU urges Bengali community in Dimapur to stay home

DIMAPUR, MARCH 30 (MExN): The Dimapur Bengali Students’ Union (DBSU) has urged the Bengali community residing in Dimapur to stay at home and maintain social distancing to prevent spread of the COVID-19 virus during the 21 days lockdown.

 

A press release from the DBSU Convener, Ajoy Kumar Das and President Raja Debnath urged community members not to go out unless very urgent and unavoidable. It also asked all union office bearers and members to check that supply chain of essential products should not be broken so that people can get basic necessities of life easily with the help of the union.

 

It directed the colony units and sub units in Dimapur to stay safe at home and ensure that “none of our community people should suffer during the 21 days lockdown period.” It meanwhile urged the students to prepare for their examinations and ensure that they use this time for education.
