DC Dimapur convenes meeting on  flooding & potholes problems 

Dimapur, September 16 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, Kevekha Kevin Zehol held a meeting with Administrator, DMC, EE, PWD (R&B), Urban Development Officer, Dimapur and SDO, PWD (NH) to discuss about flooding and potholes problems in Dimapur, at his office chamber on September 16.


According to a DIPR report, on the complaints received from different corners about the inconveniences caused due to construction of four lane road, DC reminded the official from National Highway to make sure that free flow of vehicle on two lane is maintained while constructing the other half and necessary precautions are made for safety of the citizens. 


According to SDO (NH), the completed side of the road upto Aoyimti will be open for vehicles by September 21 or 22 which will be a relief for the commuters.


Deliberating on the water logging problems, Administrator, DMC, informed that a task force has been constituted to clear all the drainage under its jurisdiction which will be done on priority basis after identifying the vulnerable areas.
Construction of drainage at Kyong Colony was also discussed and the same was entrusted to EE (R&B) and Urban Development Officer.


DC also inquired about the work progress of Purana Bazaar Bridge and Nagarjan Bridge. The Purana Bazaar Bridge, according to Urban Development Officer, 75% of the works has been completed while EE (R&B) said that about 65% of the construction works of Nagarjan Bridge have completed.
