•-Apropos to the news item that appeared in Nagaland Post (P-7) and The Morung Express (P-3) dated 12th Nov,2011 under the caption “DCs hold meeting to maintain peace” and “Assam-Nagaland Dc level meeting held at Sivsagar”respectively,the undersigned would like to clarify as under:-
The undersigned presented five points of issues during the meeting including the illegal occupation of Nagaland Govt. Primary School Ladigarh Village and a designated polling Station No=1 of 49 A/C Tamlu under Longleng District by the Assam Armed Police (AAP) since 2007,and convey to the District Administration and Police Sivsagar to vacate the School and designated polling Station immediately as this is a forceful illegal occupation in violation of all mutual agreements between the two states and also in violation of Hon’ble Supreme Court order. This particular polling station has been holding elections both state general elections and parliamentary elections till 2005 without any problems and interference. Besides other issues as mentioned above, the undersigned requested the District Administration Sivasagar to honor all mutual agreements between the two states in letter and spirit to maintain peace and tranquility in the border areas.
