DC Mon informs on banking for villagers

Mon, April 9 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner of Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS today stated that public in the villages and towns are facing problems due to their inability to access banking facilities due to the COVID-19 lockdown.  Therefore, teams from India Post Payment Bank (IPPB) and Banking Correspondent (BC) Customer Service Point (CSP) Representatives (State Bank of India) will be visiting the villages to facilitate withdrawal of cash.


In regard to the visit of Banking Correspondents (BC)/ Customer Service Point (CSP) Representatives (State Bank of India), the village councils are requested to contact C. Yanthan, Lead District Manager, Lead Bank Office, Mon at: 8837358017, 8974246573.


Further, the respective Village Councils and Ward Councils are requested to make necessary arrangements and ensure that proper queue/line is maintained and social distancing is practiced. “They are also requested to provide water and soap for hand wash at the venue,” the DC Mon requested.
