DIMAPUR, MAY 5 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner of Mon, Thavaseelan K today informed that all stand alone shops and outlets in Mon district are permitted to open with 50% strength of workers with wearing of masks and social distancing being mandatory.
Salons, dine-in restaurants and eateries, clothes and shoe shops, and second Hand Shops will not be allowed to open.
However, home deliveries from dine-in restaurants, food outlets and delivery of online orders of essential commodities shall be permitted.
Meanwhile, shops shall remain open for five) days in a week i.e, from Monday to Friday 9am to 2pm. However, Banks, ATMs and Pharmacies shall remain open on all days.
Shopkeepers have meanwhile been directed to strictly adhere to the following conditions:
- Sale of tobacco and other tobacco products is strictly prohibited.
- Shopkeepers and assistants to wear masks/face covers and hand gloves.
- Make arrangements for keeping hand sanitizers or provide facilities for hand washing with soap and water for the public as well as for their own staff/workers.
- Regularly clean and disinfect the door handles, surface and other objects which are frequently touched by the customers,
- Not to sell essential commodities and goods to customers who are not wearing face mask or face covers and mandatorily make stand point markings outside their shops for the customers to maintain social distancing.
- Violation of these guidelines will be penalised with immediate closure of that shop for that day.
