Tuensang, August 10 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant IAS has noted that the drivers, handymen and passengers of trucks bringing in essential commodities to Tuensang Town are de-boarding from their vehicles and mixing with the local population.
The DC in an order on August 10 stated that despite repeated directions to shopkeepers and business establishments to ensure that no drivers, handyman and passengers of trucks de-board from their vehicles while unloading of goods, this unsafe practice remains unchecked.
In view of the above, and as decided in the Tuensang DTF on COVID-19 meeting held on August 7, all shopkeepers and business establishments have been directed to ensure that no drivers, handymen and passengers of trucks de-board from their vehicles while unloading goods.
“Failure to comply with this order shall invite penalty on shopkeepers and business establishments concerned as per various provisions of the law,” the DC stated.
