Dimapur, March 24 (MExN): The Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) contributed more than 20 numbers of the sprayer to Dimapur Municipal Council. The DMC will start spraying the disinfectant in and around the city, therefore, it requested to the public to give corporation to the DMC and support the disinfecting process, DCCI President Akashe Zhimomi stated in a press release.
The DCCI strictly warned all the shops and business establishments not to indulge in hoarding. The DCCI warned that any shop or establishment is found indulging in such hoardings, it will be sealed and goods will be hand over to the administration for free distribution. DCCI cautioned that it will monitor the market round the clock and take direct complaints from the public.
DCCI once again assured the public that there is sufficient stock and need not worry about shortages as the goods train and truck are playing and have been kept out of preview of lockdown. In this connection, DCCI appealed to the administration and police to allow commercial vehicle carry essential commodities to ply freely.
It further appealed to the business community that as the state fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, the business community has to rise up to the occasion and give its best even in terms of contributing cash and kind to assist the administration and the government as of when the situation arises.
DCCI firmly believes the onus of fight against COVID 19 does only reset with government and administration alone, therefore it encourages all the civil society and individuals to support the effort of defeating disease.
