The Choto-Bosti road at Capital town of Kohima, starting from below the Police Thana, extending up to the check-gate at the BSF camp is in a totally neglected and deplorable condition.
It is a very important road; in fact, it is the main lifeline, connecting three districts namely, Zunheboto, Phek and Kiphire to the state capital. It also connects to Jessami, a part of Ukhrul district of Manipur.
It is shameful to see such an important and busy road lying in such a pathetic condition for such a long time. The roads connecting both ends are in a good state, so one can only wonder why this portion of the road is neglected. One has top travel through this road to experience a bumpy and dusty ride in dry season and a muddy and slippery ride during rainy season.
Therefore, I would like to appeal to the concerned representative of this area and the authorities to kindly take note and take necessary measures to repair the road at the earliest, for the benefit of the people that travel through this road in general and for those denizens living in this area in particular.
