Shifting Tides in Washington: What the US Midterms Mean for India

3rd of November, 2026, a significant day for the Americans as well to all, across the globe. It was like a blue tsunami that came all of a sudden and washed everything. As a result, the hopes of the Republican Party were dashed and its base supporters including president Donald Trump could hardly believe to accept the results. For Trump as well as others who have supported and shown their solidarity to the far-right Republican party led by Trump had to face a rude shock that they hardly expected. It was a clean white wash and unbelievable sweep.

In order to woo his white fundamentalist evangelicals and white racists, Trump went ahead spewing venom and sprayed divisive politics in his political rallies and campaigns. It was so low as he personally started attacking the candidates of the Democratic party. America is vertically divided and totally polarised country. Trump in his two-year governance has sent America backwards by infusing all kinds ideas especially into the mind-sets of young Americans. For the sake of power, money, and super-ego he went ahead leaders of other countries intimidating and coercing them of consequential effects.

There are leaders like Netanyahu and Modi who gave-in to Trump’s psychedelics, but some others firmly confronted him. In two-years the Americans especially the young ones and others have understood his business of transnationalism. Initially some of the leaders in the Middle-East and others by offering expensive gifts and collaborating on different facets, but all the time satisfying his ego cannot go on. He thought that he was absolute leader who could wilt anyone by his commands and postures. For some time, one can fool everyone, not all the time.

To his shock a Muslim for the first time entered the Senate, women hailing from different races, a homosexual, and those got elected happened to be Red-areas for decades especially Texas and others where during the presidential elections these states overwhelmingly voted. But in two years, his vote bank started diminishing because of his immature leadership and vengeful nature. He is very vindictive and uncouth, who acts like a strange specimen without any rational and etiquette. People across the world have read him thoroughly especially some of the leaders.

Iran posed to be main obstacle for the downfall of Trump. The war on Iran without any goal and objective Trump waged on the advice of Netanyahu. Billions of dollars have been spent; lives of the innocent Iranian school children and citizens lost, infrastructures, educational and research institutes, and residential areas decimated, American soldiers who lost their life and wounded show the immature leadership and statesmanship of Donald Trump. It really questioned who actually rule America Trump or Netanyahu.

The Jewish lobby along with Zionist caucus pushed Trump to destroy Iran saying that Iran had material potential to produce nuclear bombs, which till this day could not be proved. Based on fake narratives and falsities US and Israel bombed Iran and destroyed the sites assuming that Iran hid uranium and other materials for the production of nuclear bombs. Zionist Israel and Netanyahu did realise their goals, but Trump became a fool. Trump and Netanyahu went to war saying that they would destroy Iran and totally wipe the Iranian civilisation from the face of the earth. Till date the Zionist Jews and far-right white evangelical failed to do anything.

Iron clad partners Netanyahu’s Likud party has failed to secure the required majority in the recent elections in Israel. He is trying his best to woo other pro-far right political parties to join him. But no one knows what would happen. If he fails to secure the need seats he would be arrested for criminal charges such as corruption to the tune of millions of dollars. He is a seasoned hawk who would try his level best to cajole others to join him, but now the secular Jews know who is Netanyahu. Trump and Bibi are blood-thirsty monsters who want to kill people in hundreds and thousands who resist them and defy their authority.

The formation of the government in Jerusalem has been marked by intense political manoeuvring. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu—frequently referred to as “Bibi”—is facing significant pressure to secure a governing majority, leveraging key ministerial portfolios to build a viable coalition. Observers note that Netanyahu faces deep political desperation, as a failure to retain power leaves him highly vulnerable to his ongoing legal battles and corruption trials. This domestic struggle mirrors broad international political shifts where established leaders have faced severe electoral setbacks.

In the United States, recent midterm elections served as a referendum on Donald Trump and the Republican Party, resulting in a shift of legislative control to the Democrats. Meanwhile, in Israel, Netanyahu’s Likud party fell short of securing a definitive majority on its own. Concurrently, Arab-led parties secured a historic surge in parliamentary seats, turning them into pivotal kingmakers. Because Arab factions have consistently refused to align with Netanyahu, both his bloc and the opposition must now aggressively court smaller, independent parties to form a stable government.

India’s PM Narendra Modi is facing lots of problems because he and his far-right political party, BJP including RSS, are partners to passing such nefarious laws. On the one hand the Cockroach Movement is spearheading almost across the country with a plea that CEC be removed, while on the other the opposition has joined with the young India movement. Similar exercise was conducted by Adolf Hitler taking intensive survey of those who did not fall within the German identity/race. Modi and Amit Shah together brought this bill in the parliament and gave a clear passage that the ECs have the immunity and cannot be prosecuted. This is a draconian Act with diabolic intent, for which RSS is also a party.

What is happening across the world the so-called democratic countries have been moving away from democratic principles and values. What we see is undue power and unquestionable authority these leaders wield and care a damn about the citizens who have elected. The far-right parties and their leaders should be put under check and balances and be monitored by the people since people are the center of democracy. If we fail in that process democracy would give way to autocracy and these leaders eventually become dictators and ruthless monsters.
