Dept of Soil & Water bids farewell to officers

Retiring officers of Department of Soil & Water Conservation, Dr Kiyasetuo Vizo, Project Director and S Chubalila, Superintendent with others after the farewell programme held on October 31.

Kohima, November 1 (MExN): Department of Soil and Water Conservation on October 31 organised a farewell programme in honour of its retiring officers Dr Kiyasetuo Vizo, Project Director and S Chubalila, Superintendent at the Directorate Conference Hall. 

The Director congratulated and acknowledged the retiring officers for the services rendered for the department. He also shared the experience of his association with the retiring officer whom he considers as one of the tallest officer the department ever had.   

Dr Vizo in his farewell address recalled his heydays joining the department as a young officer and his journey to the present day. He attributed his successful career to the sacrifices of his wife, who gave up her prospective career for the family. He also lauded the enthusiasm of young and dynamic officers who are ever willing to learn and become an expert in their field and hinted better days for the department.

Chubalila said that everyone must work together for progress of the Department. She stressed that one must experience failures in life so that they learn and improvise in later walks of life.

The programme was chaired by SK Hekshe, Joint Director and vote of thanks was delivered by K Zhekheto Awomi, Additional Director.
