DGC observes Vigilance Awareness Week

Dimapur, October 29 (MExN): Along with the rest of the country, Dimapur Government College (DGC) observed week-long Vigilance Awareness Week, 2019 starting from October 28 under the theme "Integrity - A way of life."


A press release from Publicity & Media Cell, Dimapur Government College stated that a short programme was held in the college to mark the beginning of the week on October 28.


A speech was delivered by Dr Moangkala Longchar, Assistant Professor who highlighted the reasons behind the observance.


She spoke on the six principles of integrity as stated by Dr Henry Cloud, in his book "Integrity - The courage to meet the demands of reality."


Longchar called upon the gathering to apply the principles of integrity not only to change the world but to change oneself.


Alemla Imsong, Acting Principal, DGC, administered the citizens’ pledge of integrity to the gathering consisting of DGC faculty, staff and students. This was followed by online registrations of integrity pledge.


The programme was chaired by Dr Vitosie Vupru, IQAC Coordinator, DGC. A competition on slogan and poster writing on the theme was also held for the students.
