Dimapur Asetkong Telongjem attains 50 yrs

Dimapur, October 28 (MExN): The Dimapur Asetkong Telongjem (DAT) celebrated golden jubilee at Dimapur Government College, auditorium on October 26.
Speaking on the theme “Jangyumedem” the speaker of the programme, Rev. Dr. Wati Aier, former principal of Oriental Theological Seminary, Dimapur shared that “in this postmodern pluralistic era, elders should not restrain the youths by cultural bonds and only through the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom fear of God can one’s society march forward in one accord towards the future.”
Speaking on the occasion, Nagaland MLA from 23 Impur Constituency, Dr Imtiwapang Aier challenged the gathering by asking what one can do for the uplift of the Naga people. Nagaland MLA from 2- Dimapur II Constituency Moatoshi Longkumer also encouraged the gathering to play a vital frontal role in the leadership of the Naga people.
The highlights of the celebration included cultural songs, poems recital and plays. The celebration culminated with jubilee feast.
