DIMAPUR, MAY 5 (MExN): The Dimapur district administration has opened up a facilitation cell for movement of stranded locals to other districts at the DC’s office. This comes after the Government of Nagaland on May 4 relaxed inter district movement in the State for stranded locals who desire to go back their home districts or villages.

The Dimapur DC, in an order, stated that the facilitation cell will issue travel permits from May 5 onwards and start receiving application of stranded local/indigenous people. Tsidi, will be the Nodal Officer for the facilitation centre. He can be contacted at 7085239106 or email at dcdimapur@gmail.com.

The cell will also undertake booking of NST bus tickets. The names, contact numbers and destination of the passengers should be compiled for intimation of travel dates.

The DC further ordered all executive magistrates through the ward or village authority to compile the list of such people from their respective jurisdictions and submit the same to the facilitation centre.

Meanwhile, stranded local/indigenous people wanting to travel in their own private vehicles will be allowed after the DC issues necessary permits specifying travel dates.

This movement regime is permitted only for local/indigenous people having permanent address in Nagaland.

The DC meanwhile directed that special care should be taken to ensure that social distancing and other protocols are maintained at all times, such as compulsory use of face mask and disinfecting/sanitizing of buses etc.
