Dimapur, January 31 (MExN): The Narcotic Cell of the Excise Department conducted routine checking at several locations within Dimapur between January 29 and 30 and recovered 1,177 bottles of assorted IMFL and 121 litres of country liquor. According to a press release from the Dimapur Deputy Commissioner of Excise (NC) Katoho Sumi, three persons were arrested in this connection and booked and penalized under relevant sections of the NLTP Act 1989. While the seized IMFL has been deposited in the office malkhana for destruction at a later date, the country liquor was destroyed on the spot, it added.
