Dimapur, May 9 (MExN): Hardware shops in Dimapur district will be permitted to open from 5:00 am to 9:00 am with effect from May 11.
Dimapur Deputy Commissioner Anoop Khinchi informed on Saturday that the hardware shops will be permitted to open with strict adherence to precautionary measures such as providing hand sanitizer and hand washing facilities with soap and water for the public as well as for their own staff/workers, regular disinfection of door handles, surfaces and other objects which are frequently touched by people, and compulsory wearing of masks for salespersons/shopkeepers and other persons in contact with high number of people. He also reminded that the lockdown is still enforced and requested the public to maintain social distancing.
Interstate movement only for medical emergencies
The DC has also notified that interstate movement of individuals is barred but relaxation has been given only to those seeking movement on medical ground. Therefore, any patients seeking treatment of non COVID-19 illnesses from neighbouring states shall be required to produce movement permit from their respective district authorities mentioning that the case is a medical emergency, the DC stated.
