Dimapur, December 16 (MExN): Advisor Sericulture, Excise & Minority Affairs, Zhaleo Rio underlined the importance of District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) noting that policies of Government are implemented through various departments after deliberations in the said meeting.
A DIPR report stated that addressing the Dimapur DPDB meeting, the advisor called upon the HoDs under Dimapur district to take DPDB meetings seriously and to give their best for the interest of the general public.
Dubbing Dimapur as mini India inhabited by all Naga tribes and various communities from the mainland, Zhaleo felt the need for working collectively amongst the various departments and sister departments to avoid duplications.
Considering the fact that several societies brings up proposal for registration during DPDB meetings, Zhaleo advised the Board members for proper scrutiny of their documents, aims and objectives so that only deserving cases are approved.
The advisor also welcomed DC Dimapur Anoop Kinchi IAS, and reminded him that general public look up at DC as their mentor and encouraged him to continue guiding the public.
In the meeting, the Board recommended registration of societies in respect of City Tower Business Owner Welfare Association, Proposal for opening Hitech Institute of IT & Multimedia at Signal Army Supply Road Junction, Japukong Sensor Telongjem Welfare Society, Western Chakhesang Mother's Association, Sisters' of Providence Medziphema, and Tribal Synergy Society.
As entrusted, departmental activities were presented by Agri and PHED, Rural and Urban.
The meeting held in the Conference hall of the DC Dimapur on December 16 was chaired by DC Dimapur Anoop Kinchi IAS, who is also the Vice Chairman DPDB Dimapur.
