Dimapur, March 28 (MExN): Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has fixed the wholesale and retail price of various essential commodities under its jurisdiction.
DMC Administrator, Albert Ezung said that this order will come into force with immediate effect. The prescribed rate is the maximum amount fixed by DMC which has to be strictly followed by the retailers, it said.
However they are at liberty to sell below the rate prescribed by DMC, it added.
Further, it is informed that no increase of prices will be considered unless the prices are reviewed periodically by the competent authority.
