Dimapur partial closure of shops on July 5

DIMAPUR, JULY 3 (MExN): The Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), at an emergency meeting held on July 2nd, 2011, has unanimously resolved to impose a closure of all business establishments and shops in Dimapur Town on Tuesday, July 5th from 6:00 a.m. to 12 noon as a mark of protest against the grenade attack on a cement go-down on June 30th last at 3rd Mile which claimed one innocent life and injured three other innocent people. This was informed in a press note issued by Hokivi Chishi President, DCCI.
The DCCI further informed all its executive members and advisors, Frontal Business Organizations (FBO) executive members and advisors and the entire business community to gather at 8:00 a.m. at Bata Charali on July 5th, 2011 after which a representation would be submitted to the State Government through the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur. All concerned are requested to make it convenient and assemble on time without fail.
In this regard, a joint meeting of the DCCI Executives and Advisors, Frontal Business Organization (FBO) executives and advisors, Hardware Merchants Association Dimapur executives and the proprietor of M/s Yeptho Enterprise, 3rd Mile Dimapur will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 4th, 2011 at the DCCI office at ‘Ana-ki’, Khermahal. All concerned are requested to kindly attend without fail.
