Dimapur, August 29 (MExN): An unidentified man, aged around 40-45 years, was found dead along the railway track near Dimapur on August 29, police said.
According to a written memo received from the Station Master, Railway Station Dimapur, at around 1.05 am, the body of an unidentified local male was found lying between KM 260/5 towards the Khatkhati side.
A duty police party rushed to the spot and conducted an inquest. The cause of death was suspected to be the man being run over by a moving train, police said.
After completion of the legal formalities, the body was shifted to the District Hospital Dimapur morgue for post-mortem examination and identification.
