DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 13 (MExN): As per the directive of Deputy Commissioner Dimapur Anoop Kinchi IAS, the District Weekly Price Review Sub Committee Team conducted a surprise inspection at the godowns and wholesalers of Dimapur district on December 13 to assess the stock position of foodgrains and other essential commodities.
The Sub Committee team during the inspection cautioned the wholesale traders and godowns not to hoard any item or commodity, which will result in artificial shortage of commodities and price escalation, failing which strict punitive action would be initiated against them including cancellation of trade license. The team further informed that such surprise checks would be conducted from time to time.
