Dimapur schools impart lessons through different means
Students receive hard copies of prepared notes of each subject in Dimapur.
Dimapur, May 9 (MExN): Under the initiative of Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur Anoop Khinchi, IAS a coordination meeting was held in his office with officers from the Education Department. The DC gave detail explanation about COVID-19 and the problem for the smooth functioning of the schools was also discussed.
Later, a meeting was held in the office of the District Education Officer, Dimapur on May 5, where instruction were given to the head of the schools to find ways and means to reach out to the students so that they learnt the lesson even during the lockdown period.
Accordingly, the head of the schools reported that each school per class had formed WhatsApp group where the concerned subject teachers are imparting the lesson to their respective students. In addition, for those students without Android phone, hard copies of prepared notes of each subject were provided to the students during the distribution of Mid-Day Meal.
According to R Amongla Jamir, District Education Officer, Dimapur, “till date, the entire lesson as per the schedule as on April by the NBSE were covered and the remaining lessons for mid-term are being prepared and are under process for distribution to the students. In addition, daily updates to the students are taking place through WhatsApp.”
