Kohima, December 7 (MExN): Directorate of Agriculture, Kohima celebrated Pre-Christmas at the conference hall of Kohima Directorate Agriculture on December 7.
During the celebration M Ben Yanthan, Director of Agriculture while delivering Christmas greetings said that Pre-Christmas is a reminder about the significance of Christmas. He said that the season is a time for the contemplation of eternal things. “Christmas spirit is a spirit of giving and forgiving, a spirit of love,” he added and reminded the staff to rededicate their own duties so as to fulfill the spirit of what has been said for the welfare of humanity.
Pastor K Benry Lotha, KLBC in his speech said that Christmas was observed to show solidarity, faith and share the joys of Christmas. He called for the experience of forgiveness, joy, peace and salvation. The Pastor further exhorted them to restrospect and receive the real meaning of Christmas, while adding it is the biggest gift for the people. The programme was led by C Peter Yanthan, Additional Director of Agriculture. Invocation was done by Medovilie Ladu, Deputy Director of Agriculture.
