Directorate of Rural Development, NRDSA condole 

Kohima, February 28 (MExN): The officers and staffs of the Directorate of Rural Development, Nagaland, Kohima and the Nagaland Rural Development Service Association (NRDSA) have condoled the untimely demise of Anti Chang, Deputy Project Officer, DRDA, Tuensang on February 26. 

Late Chang joined the government service in 1991 in the erstwhile SRDA and was later absorbed in the department of Rural Development during the year 1997, a departmental release informed.  

During her service, she has exceptionally performed her duties and had a huge concern for the welfare of the people, particularly the rural areas, and had vast knowledge of the department’s activities, stated the release issued by Imnukshila Jamir, Director, Rural Development Blocks, Kohima.

With her sudden demise, the department has lost one of the most talented and dedicated officer and a precious companion and while the void created by Chang’s demise would be impossible to fill, her contributions would be remembered forever, it said. 

The officers and staff of the Directorate of RD express our deep sorrow and sympathy to the bereaved family members of and May our Almighty God give eternal rest to the departed soul and also comfort the bereaved family members during this time of grief, it added. 

Meanwhile, the NRDSA expressing shock and sadness over the Chang’s demise said that she was a pillar of encouragement for many especially for the rural people. 

“Today as we share in the bereavement of her family, we, the NRDSA salute her for all that she has done for the Association and for the development of the rural areas in general and the department in particular,” stated a condolence note from NRDSA President, K. Neibou Sekhose.

“It is our prayer that God will pour his spirit of comfort on the bereaved family,” it said adding: “May her achievement continue to spread the sweet fragrances rekindling our hearts to remember and cherish her memory. May Her Soul Rest In Peace.”
