Distortion of national emblem in State logo

• Sir-Recently some prominent politicians, public leaders and others have expressed their views with healthy criticisms or otherwise on State Logo through the local print media. I would like to share a small observation on the Logo which I had seen for the first time through local papers just the other day.

Many States like West Bengal, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerela etc have their own respective Logos based on their culture or historical heritage and are used in all official papers and correspondences in place of the National Emblem, Ashoka Chakra. But if we look carefully in all those States’ Logo, Ashoka Chakra, the Nation’s Emblem is empressed behind or above the State’s symbol that shows the individual State Logo with the national emblem. I wonder, if Nagaland is one of the States of the Indian Union, the logic behind the distortion of National Emblem in the State Logo which does not symbolize the authority of the Government.
