Kohima, November 30 (MExN): A two days District level Behavior Change Communication (BCC) Workshop for intensified malaria Control Project (IMCP-II) in Nagaland was organized by development association of Nagaland in coordination with Caritas India, VHAI, futures group International Private limited and State Vector borne Diseases Control programme, Nagaland with support from GFATM round 9 at Mount TABOR, Kohima on November25 and 26. The main focus of the workshop on behavioral change communication was to empower communities for malaria Control through behavior Change communication and community mobilization by civil society organizations achievement, gaps and challenges.
The national Vector borne Disease Control Programme BBC strategies, implementation experience, operational guidelines, resources and challenged, gaps was facilitated by Dr. Neiketou, Joint Director (NVBDCP) who mentioned and prevalence of malaria and the rate of Morality and Morbidity in Nagaland. He also spoke on the goal and objectives of National Borne Disease Control programme and the challenges in eradicating Malaria in the North East India. He stated that Malaria is the most dangerous enemy to human being and called upon all organization to come together to fight against malaria with the available resources we have.
Earlier, Kidongam Pamei, data entry operator chaired the programme.
