District level eVIN cum immunization held in Wokha

Wokha, February 23 (MExN): District level eVIN cum Immunization Refreshers training was held at VDB conference hall Wokha on February 21. Dr CW Tungoe, Chief Medical Officer, Wokha highlighted on the need to reach left out children for immunization in the district during the keynote address.

Dr Tungoe urged the nurses to maintain proper data and give accurate reporting or documentation of health activities in their respective areas. The training is for further strengthening and improving the district target, stated Dr Zuben Kikon, Dy CMO Wokha.

Dr Khelito Zhimomi, DPO (RCH/UIP) encouraged the participants to be interactive during the training sessions. The training was organized by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) with Kingson Kamkara, senior project officer, UNDP Nagaland, R Khartu Monsang and Imli Longkumer regional project officers UNDP Nagaland as resource persons. Some topics covered during the sessions were recording, HMIS, eVIN reporting, proper handling and management of vaccines and discussion of field issues.
