LONGLENG, AUGUST 7 (MExN): A District Level Coordination Committee (DLCC) meeting was convened at the DPDB hall in Longleng on August 5 under the IFAD FOCUS Project. The meeting brought together Heads of Offices from the Agriculture and Allied sectors. Dr Samuel Akho Konyak, EAC and Nodal Officer for DLCC-FOCUS, chaired the meeting.
Mokeya Tep, District Project Officer of FOCUS, provided a concise overview of the meeting's proceedings, including discussions about the exit strategy of the FOCUS project to the Agri and Allied Office Heads. Akangtula Jamir, District Project Associate of FOCUS, stressed the importance of convergence reports from all agri-allied departments as a part of the convergence program.
During the meeting, training materials received from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) were distributed to the Departments of Horticulture, Soil and Water Conservation, and Veterinary. These materials are intended to be disseminated to the farming community.
The meeting concluded with Neilezo Tep, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Tamlu, extending a vote of thanks.
