DMC issues permits for home delivery of essential goods

DIMAPUR, MARCH 28 (MExN): The Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has accorded permission to the Two Wheeler Taxi Association Dimapur, Freshzola and Ahibo LLP for door to door delivery of essential commodities such as groceries, green vegetables, fruits etc within DMC jurisdiction.

 

The DMC, in a notification stated that deliverers will have to, at their own arrangement, adopt proper safety precautions as per the guidelines issued by the Health Department.

 

The permit holder should follow all proper sanitisation procedures such as wearing of gloves, masks and maintaining a distance of at least 2 meters with the customer. Delivery of essential commodities has been allowed 24X7.

 

The DMC meanwhile cautioned that the permit holders should not overcharge for the goods and follow the approved market rates. Delivery charges should not exceed Rs 50.

 

They are also bound to follow all other directives as passed either by the DMC, central and state governments.

 

The DMC added that it reserves the right to cancel the permit in the event of the above terms not followed or any other dispute.
