Dimapur, June 24 (MExN): The rate of Pork for wholesale and retail sale has been reviewed by the Dimapur Municipal Council. Pork wholesale is now priced at Rs. 100 per Kg, Pork (retail sale) for dressed and cut meat is Rs. 135 per kg and Head, Hoof and intestine is priced at Rs. 125 per Kg. An order issued by the office of the DMC stated that the revision is apropos to the joint representation submitted to the Dimapur Municipal Council for enhancement of the rate of Wholesale & Retail Sale for Pork. The above prescribed rate is the maximum amount fixed by DMC as such butchers are directed to provide quality meat for the customers. They are also directed to hang their weighing scale at least one Feet above from the butchers table. No increase price will be allowed without substantiated by genuine documents. Failing to comply with this order will be bound to take appropriate action. The rate will be enforced under immediate effect.
