A parent-teacher meet was held by the DMI St Joseph School on November 7.
DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 8 (MExN): DMI St Joseph Global School virtually held its first terminal parent teacher interaction for classes KG – X on November 7.
The interaction was held in four segments to facilitate maximum participations of parents and teachers, informed a press release from the school. The interaction started off with prayer and bible reading from the book of Proverbs, followed by welcome address by Wekhrolo-u.
Principal Backiyaraj T presented a seminar on the National Education Policy 2020, focusing on its agenda, key principles, driving through its early childhood care and education, new academic structure, local flavor of textbook, multilingualism, innovative pedagogy, focus on socio-economically disadvantaged groups (SEDGs), goals and timelines for implementation, new features of the policy, etc. Parents actively took part in the presentation, and interacted with the principal.
After the presentation, a short film was played for the parents and students on the title ‘First Terminal Activity Galore’, which portrayed the various activities conducted by the school as part of curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities from April to October 2020, with a partial focus on teaching methodologies and teaching aids used by teachers during the pandemic.
In order to remind parents of the academic activities, teacher representations from these four categories highlighted the academic calendar, workshops for parents and students, requesting parents to encourage their wards to attend the online classes regularly.
Finally, question hour was earmarked for the parents and students to interact with their ward’s class and subject teachers, which was followed by vote of thanks by Pali Aomi.
