Diphupar Naga Students’ Union has announced that it will organize the 4th edition of Bendangnungsang Longkumer and Er Khiresavizo Metha (B&K) Memorial Award cum 5th Death anniversary on January 31.
Dimapur, January 29 (MExN): Diphupar Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) will be organizing 4th edition of Bendangnungsang Longkumer and Er Khiresavizo Metha (B&K) Memorial Award cum 5th Death anniversary on January 31 at Premier Lodge Diphupar village.
This award is not to be conceived or not to be reflected as an award for the best performance in specific field, a press release clarified. A jury had been selected, where by individuals and groups were selected to be awarded for the contribution towards the society in various fields. The categories of awards for the 4th Edition of B&K Memorial awards have been selected as; Music, literature, Academic Excellence, humanitarian, entrepreneur, promoter, sports, young achiever, art and special mention.
The 4th Edition B&K Memorial awards will be held virtually. Unlike other editions awards to awardees would be presented virtually following all the SOPs laid down by the State government, stated the press release received here.
It said that this award function is held to honour of the two martyrs, Bendangnungsang Longkumer and Er Khiresavizo Metha who laid down their lives for the cause of Nagas on January 31, 2017 during (ULB) Election imbroglio.
Some of the artistes who would be performing at the memorial award are Keneiseno Sale, Suraj Gautam, Worngam Rungsung, Neikuo Khezhie, Veculu Rhakho and Imkongtongzu.
