Do Nagas need to develop their traditional code of ethics to adapt to contemporary societal needs? Why?

Some of those who voted YES had this to say:
•    Nagas need to develop their traditional code of ethics because this is who they are. If Nagas do not develop their own ethics, they will become Indianized and Westernized. How can they then call themselves as Nagas?
•    Yes, in order for Nagaland to progress it needs to develop their code of ethics to adapt to contemporary realities.
•    Yes, it must be developed. But it also should be clear that it is not the same as codification of customary law. In fact, codification of customary law will also obstruct the development of Naga code of ethics.
•    Naga people need to grow and become self confident in what they do. Their code of ethics is one of the foundations of Naga identity, and it must develop to satisfy contemporary societal needs.
•    In order to safe their roots of origin & cultures.

Some of those who voted NO had this to say:
•    The Naga traditional ethics based on the lord Jesus Christ will remain forever. Amen.
•    No, there is no need. To avoid confusion, better to stick to the legal system.
•    The traditional moral value of indigenous people should be encouraged and preserved.
