“This moment means the world to us—not just because it marks the unveiling of new music, but because it’s the culmination of years of hard work, collaboration, and the exciting journey we’ve taken together as a band.” The front man of Alobo Naga & The Band (ANTB), Alobo Naga exclaimed during the release of their long-awaited EP titled ‘Do You Dare.’
The intimate soft launch event took place at Nagaland Coffee in Dimapur, marking the official debut of the band’s latest musical project.
In his address, Alobo said that the band recently completed a successful pre-promotion tour across the Northeast, covering Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, and Assam. “The love and energy we received from those states have been overwhelming and have fuelled our desire to share our music even further,” he cited.
Abobo announced that the band is now gearing up to take ‘Do You Dare’ across the country with a multi-city tour titled “Ride to the Rhythm.” This is a music-led campaign featuring Alobo Naga & The Band, curated by Candies Studio, powered by the iconic Indian motorcycle brand Royal Enfield, and supported by Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA), with Hard Rock Cafe as our venue partner.
The tour will span major cities, beginning with Pune and Kolkata, with more locations to be announced. “Our aim is to build cultural bridges through music, elevate Nagaland’s musical presence nationally, and promote riding culture as a medium for artistic exploration and storytelling,” the seasoned artist shared.
“We’re also excited to share that international shows, including stops in Southeast Asia, are already in the pipeline,” he declared.
On ‘Do You Dare’ EP, Alobo said that each track on tells a unique story. “It is not just a collection of songs- it is a journey, a reflection of our experiences, struggles, and aspirations. What makes this EP even more special is the collaborative spirit behind it. We have had the privilege of working with some incredibly talented artists who have helped shape the sound and soul of this project,” he added.
Expressing gratitude to TaFMA, family and friends for all their support, Alobo said, “Today, we celebrate not just music but the spirit of daring to dream.”
The EP was officially launched by Theja Meru, Chairman, TaFMA, Government of Nagaland. Earlier, a prayer was said by Aren Sayer, Worship Pastor of The Lighthouse Church, Dimapur. The event was chaired by Naga musician, Bethel Tsuzu.
The songs included in the EP will be available for streaming on various music platforms soon.
