Domestic Violence Awareness Month observed in Mokokchung

Mokokchung, October 20 (MExN): Mokokchung SAKHI–One Stop Centre (OSC), Mokokchung and District Administration Mokokchung observed Domestic Violence Awareness month by organizing ‘A walk against Domestic Violence.’ As per DIPR report, the walk started from Imlong Place Police Point to Multi-purpose Sports Complex Mokokchung on October 19. Flag off programme was held at EAC HQ Mokokchung by Sentilong Ozukum. A programme was also held at the culminating point with SDO (C) Mokokchung Dharam Raj, IAS as guest of honor. In his short speech, the SDO called upon all to raise their voice against domestic violence in the society. The victims suffer not only physically but also psychologically, he added. SDO also declared the poster campaign and conducted Pledge (signature wall). Vote of thanks was proposed by Wangshinaro Yaden, Centre Administrator SAKHI–OSC Mokokchung. Participants included officials, NGOs, church members and students.
