DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 3 (MExN): The Department of School Education (DoSE), Nagaland issued a notification today ordering all government schools to display posters detailing the food grains and cooking costs under the Mid Day Meal Scheme.

A press release from the Principal Director, Directorate of School Education(DoSE) stated that this is to ensure the reaching of Government’s beneficiary schemes to all children without any wastage and misuse. 

 

It directed the department to issue posters displaying details of food grains and cooking cost distributed to each school covered under the Mid Day Meals Scheme for each quarter. 

 

Head of Institutions of all government schools have been directed to display these posters prominently within the school campus throughout the quarter. The poster also displays a Help Line Number (6009256788) to which public can send complaints through SMS/WhatsApp if they come across any misuse of the scheme.

 

The Principal Director requested all concerned school authorities, teachers, parents, student unions, NGOs and well wishers to extend support and cooperation to this initiative “as the success of the programme depends on the constructive involvement of the society in the functioning of Government schools.”
