•-The resolution of the DPDB to collect one day wages from all heads of department down to grade III staff of all government employees in Peren District for an eye camp is beyond any logical justification. No doubt, the initiative to organize such a camp is for the benefit of all, but the decision to organize the camp after collecting money from the government employee is intolerable and beyond rational explanations. As government employees our source of income is solely dependent on our monthly salaries, and we earn every penny through our sweat and hard work. Moreover, most of the employees like me are living hand to mouth with their meager salary. I am not against such kind of noble ideas, but what I am suggesting here is, why not we let the concern department take the initiative. Moreover, I have not in my entire life heard of such phrase ‘Government asking money from the employees for carrying out projects’.
