DPS students win Young Writers’ Award

Four students of Delhi Public School, Dimapur won Young Writers’ Award at the recently concluded Katha Utsav Nationals held from December 26 – 29, 2019.

 

Dimapur, January 8 (MExN): Four students from Delhi Public School (DPS), Dimapur received recognition of Young Writers’ Award and a chance to get their stories featured at the recently concluded Katha Utsav Nationals held at Shiv Nadar School Gurugram and at Thyagraj Stadium from December 26 – 29, 2019. The Utsav is Katha’s flagship event, considered to be India’s biggest literary event for young writers.


As per a press release received here, after qualifying in the Regionals of Katha Utsav held in Guwahati, 8 students from DPS, Dimapur participated in the Katha Utsav Nationals.


Workshops and interactive sessions were conducted by a host of mentors, some of the best from the field of literary and creative art in India. The students were led on a journey of discovery of the best version of their content writing abilities and in building skills of expression in children as poets, story writers or social media activists.


Based on the ‘Challenge Grounds’ held on the last day of the event four (4) students from DPS Dimapur: Jesse Thonger – Class 12, Mhareni Ren Shitiri – Class 9, Kavie-O Sono – Class 9, Inikali K Chophy – Class 8 received recognition of Young Writers’ Award and with it, a chance to get their stories featured on Katha’s digital platform.
