Dr T Ao Junior Girls’ Championship 2025: Uttarakhand and Punjab secure wins Khushi Pal shines with a rare Double Hat-Trick

Chumoukedima,November 26 (MExN): In a spectacular display of attacking football, Uttarakhand stormed to a commanding 9–0 win over Andaman & Nicobar in Match No. 9 of the Dr Talimeren Ao Junior Girls’ National Football Championship 2025–26 (Tier 2). 

The match was one-sided from the opening whistle, with Uttarakhand controlling 69% of ball possession and producing a remarkable 32 shots on target. 

The star of the match was undoubtedly Khushi Pal (Jersey No. 10), who delivered a breathtaking performance by scoring six goals—a rare and exceptional double hat-trick. Khushi found the back of the net in the 2nd, 17th, 36th, 57th, 78th, and 90th minutes, overwhelming the opposition defense throughout the contest. 

Adding to Uttarakhand’s scoreboard, Shruti (Jersey No. 14) scored with a confident finish in the 21st minute, further widening the lead early in the game. 

Late in the second half, Ku Varsha (Jersey No. 16) struck twice in rapid succession, scoring in the 89th minute and again in 90+4 minutes, sealing a dominant and memorable victory for the team. 
Despite their efforts, Andaman & Nicobar struggled to gain momentum, recording just one shot off target and no shots on goal. Uttarakhand’s solid defensive structure resulted in no corners, no free kicks, and minimal threats from the opposition. 

This emphatic victory places Uttarakhand in a strong position in the championship, with Khushi Pal’s extraordinary performance becoming one of the standout moments of the tournament so far.
In the second match of the day, Punjab defeated Nagaland in a Seven-Goal showcase at the Dr Talimeren Ao Junior Girls’ National Football Championship 2025

Punjab produced a stunning all-round performance in Match No. 10, overpowering hosts Nagaland with a convincing 7–0 victory built on sharp finishing and total control of the game. 

Punjab commanded 54% ball possession and translated their dominance into constant offensive pressure, registering 12 shots on target and 11 off target. The scoring opened early when Nisha struck in the 12th minute, setting the tone for what would become a one-sided encounter. 

Forward Joya delivered a remarkable four-goal performance, finding the net at 45+4th, 53rd, 66th, and 86th minute, showcasing her clinical instincts and ability to exploit gaps in Nagaland’s defense. Harmeen added two more goals, scoring in the 73rd and 83rd minutes, further cementing Punjab’s authority in the final third. 

Nagaland, despite moments of determination, struggled to create meaningful chances. With only one shot off target and none troubling the Punjab goalkeeper, their attack remained muted throughout. They earned two corners and one free kick, but Punjab’s well-structured defense held firm. A lone yellow card reflected Nagaland’s attempts to disrupt Punjab’s rhythm. 

Disciplined yet aggressive, Punjab committed just five fouls, while their frequent forward runs led to ten offsides. The emphatic win strengthens Punjab’s standing in the championship, while Nagaland will seek to regroup and respond in their upcoming fixtures.
