‘Education can change the world’

Kohima, December 30 (MExN): The 54th annual day of Nerhema Students’ Union (NSU) took place under the theme “Aspire to ascend” at Nerhema village under Kohima district on December 30.
Gracing the occasion as the guest speaker, Neiketouzo Kengurüse, PS to Chief Minister Nagaland also inaugurated NSU office cum library. In his address, Kenguriise said that education can change the atmosphere of the world for good. Stating that education is pre-requisite for all round development, he stressed on the need to give holistic approach for rapid growth of education.
He maintained that education is the key component to march ahead with the competitive world. Urging the students to choice the right career, Kenguriise also told them to pay fullest attention and become expert to have a sound and successful journey in life.
Urging the students to have faith and fear God, he quoted “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of the knowledge.” Ruokuongunuo Rutsa (HSLC subject toper (Home science) and Philomina Rutsa (HSSLC topper 5 (Science) shared their success story.
Nerhema Village Council chairman Deizolie Virie shared greetings while Angami Students Union (ASU) vice president Petekhrietuo Kiewhuo exhorted the gathering. The function was chaired by NSU president Zevituo Mere while NSU advisor Shiirholhoulie Chadi proposed vote of thanks.
