Inarguably the first application for electrification in the Northeast states, ElectricianApp was launched here today at IUSEW (OPC) Private Limited, Industrial Estate Colony, Dimapur.

The application will enable customers to hire an electrician with a smartphone.

Speaking on the occasion, special guest Aochuba Yaden, Executive Editor & Director, Nagaland Post appreciated the initiative of IUSEW (OPC) Pvt Ltd which will bridge the communication gap between an electrician and a customer.

In today’s tech-savvy world, Chuba looked forward to the service being a boon for customers and in turn lend a hand at unemployment woes in the state.

He encouraged the Company to maintain customer relationship and to live by the adage that though you may not be wrong, “the customer is always right.”  Lauding the service, a brainchild of Islam Uddin, an electrician, Chuba further urged the electricians to use the platform provided and get themselves registered which will help to earn a decent living.

Uddin said the primary aim was to act as mediators between the customers and the electricians. As a seasoned electrician, Uddin observed that the basic needs of the people were not met, while there were many electricians ready to help.

Thus the concept was born with its primary aim to help customers get their work done efficiently and at the required time.

With electricity being a major concern in one’s daily lives, the app will help in facilitating the gap between the two parties, Uddin added.

The app was founded on July 30 this year. The assured benefits for the users include: Assured service, book electrician online, background verified expert, affordable pricing and the ability to rate the service of electrician.

The benefits for electricians include: Standard rate of wage, on the job training, set your own time, get expert support at any time, accidental insurance cover and medical insurance.

The app will be available for free download in playstore by the first week of December. The team plans on branching out to Kohima in the near future.
