Tuensang, March 19 (MExN): Tuensang Chamber of Commerce & Industries (TCCI) informed to all concerned that at present there is enough stock of all the essential commodities in the market and public need not panic of any shortages due to COVID - 19.
In this regard, TCCI has issued the following measures:
• All shops have been directed not to indulge in hording or create any artificial shortages of essential commodities, they have been advised to frequently check their inventory and keep sufficient stock to cover any eventuality. They have been directed not to sell hand sanitizers and masks items higher than the market price.
• Businesses dealing in service sector like tea stall, restaurants, hotels, clinics and nursing homes have been directed to double their effort in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene round the clock.
• Drivers of all commercial vehicles, Buses and Tata Sumo who frequently travel in and out of the jurisdiction of Tuensang district have also been directed to keep hand sanitizers at their disposal.
• All shops have been directed to keep hand sanitizers at their disposal and use them as and when required by them as well as for the customers.
• Finally it has been clearly directed to all shops and businesses establishment in Tuensang Town that if any of the above mentioned is violated culprit will be initially dealt with sternly according to the resolution of the TCCI and hand it over to the competent authority thereafter for further action.
Tuensang DTF constitutes screening team
Tuensang District Task Force for COVID-19 held meeting at DC Conference Hall on March 19. The meeting was attended by its members comprising district administration, medical, police, AR, NGOs, ward representatives, VG and education department.
The meeting discussed setting up screening team which will be deployed at the strategic location. The screening team will be authorised to investigate on tour history of any such suspected person coming from outside the state/tourist.
Dr John has been nominated as Nodal Officer for Tuensang District. The house resolved to nominated one representative on officer rank from AR, Police, NAP, and medical department. The house further discussed on identification of building for quarantine measures and located St John Higher secondary School and Baptist Thangyen School building to propose.
The Deputy Commissioner and chairman TDTF COVID-19 Kumar Ramnikant advised the PHED to regulate water supply for proper hygiene of the mass. The DC also advised all concerned to identify individuals coming back from outside the state so that quarantine processes shall be initiated.
