DIMAPUR, JUNE 3 (MExN): The Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) has reiterated its demand to the Nagaland State Government to redress the relaxation policy for obtaining professional qualification for candidates belonging to Chang, Konyak, Sangtam, Khiamniungan, Yimchungru and Phom tribes.
A press note from the ENSF stated that it has pursued the issue with the government several times.
However, it regretted that the government and the concerned department have not responded to their plea. “The department as well as the state government was neither efficient nor serious on the plea of the Eastern Nagas,” it said.
It also said that the government has not acted on demands for adequate B.Ed colleges in the districts of Eastern Nagaland."The department and the government has now made it impossible for the Eastern Nagas for any grievances being addressed,” it said.
The ENSF cautioned that failure to fulfill their demands by June 13 would compel the federation to initiate its own course of action.
